Glimpses of 11th Goa Marathi Film Festival 2018

While the waves of sea danced and lashed against the beaches of Goa, clouds to their fullest showered rains ,amidst all this the 11 the Goa Marathi Film Festival was held at Kala Academy,Panaji Goa.

With an exuberant atmosphere and diligent crowd of people from Marathi film fraternity, the festival sprinkled its various colours continously for three days. Eminent guests included legendary actors from Marathi industry as Dr.Mohan Agashe, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Sonali Kulkarni, Prasad Oak etc ,versatile  directors like Ravi Jadhav, Madhur Bhandarkar , Gajendra Ahire and many many more who with their strong presence created a wave of excitement in the festival.

PLANET MARATHI was the exclusive digital and broadcast partner of the whole event and it broadcasted live telecast from the inauguration ceremony of the event.

 The program was inaugurated by the hands of Hon Governor of Goa. Ms.Mridula Sinha who surprised  the audience by sharing her creative facet and interest .

Mr. Akshay Bardapurkar , founder of PLANET MARATHI was welcomed on stage along withother respected people from the film fraternity.

PLANET MARATHI also presented with an exclusive segment called#LaiBHaariWithAmitBhandari 

which consisted of a panel discussion on the theme 'Is commercial success of a film more than important than its subject?'

The panelists were Actor/Director Mrinal Kulkarni, director Ravi Jadhav, Actor/Director Prasad Oak, Zee Entertainment Ltd Mangesh Kulkarni , Director Gajendra Ahire and conducted by Amit Bhandari the film critic . The discussion brought out many issues and showed light onto several mindboggling ideas and conventional methods of filmmaking.

It was a session which can be treasured for years in future for guidance and understanding the basics of cinema.
The members on panel were all esteemed people from their respective fields and they revealed interesting facts of the industry.

A dance prog by a troupe from Mumbai on the classic Marathi  songs sung by Lata Mangeshkar mesmerized the audience with its enthralling steps.

  The festival screened many movies during the festival at Kala Academy, Inox, Marquis Palace for the audience.

Some of the movies those which were screened  include Nude, Bucket List, Farzand, Juze, Gulabjam, LatheJoshi, Whatsup Lagna, Nidraay , Pimpal etc...

Special bytes of film personalities were  taken by Ms. Deesha Katkar , the charming anchor of Planet.

The festival ended with cherished memories and a hope to bring something new next year.
